Nexus Media Importer allows you to import and play music, videos, photos and documents from a USB flash drive or SD card connected to the Nexus 7 or other Android 3.2 + devices. This is the only non-root solution for devices that do not provide native support for external flash. You need the following hardware:
1) A device Android 3.2 +. Examples are Google Nexus or Motorola Xoom devices.

How to use:
-If you use an SD card reader, put the card into the reader first.
-Connect the OTG for the Nexus or other device.
-Connect your USB device to cable OTG.

-Click the play icon to listen or the save icon (disk)

-The USB drive / flash card must be formatted as FAT16 or FAT32 (not NTFS or EXTx). FAT is the most common formats for SD and USB drives.
Read-only. Can not write on the connected device, just copy it to the Android device.

Permission INTERNET - This application does not have access to the internet. This permission is required by Android to start the web server to stream video, etc. The server does not require WiFi or 3G connectivity to function, so it works in airplane mode. The server is accessible only to the local device and can not be seen on the Internet or 3G network.
Permission ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE was added to Google Analytics. I'm sampling scan time, count, type, and errors. I'm using this information to improve application responsiveness and stability. No personal information is collected.
